Comeng998's Railways & Models of 2025 in Review

Well, as the end of the year is quickly arriving, it's time to take a look back at some of our highlights for the year. It wasn't one of our biggest years, but definitely still a busy one. The new year is going to continue this trend unfortunately, but we still hope to bring to you as many rail event's as possible.
Till next time, have a happy New Year!

2025 Christmas Special | MTMR Railway

Well, we've reached that festive time to the year once again, so time for the return of our Christmas Special. This year sees one of our newest arrivals, being K153 from SDS take the charge of this year's train.
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.
Unlike the previous years, there won't be a video between this and out EoY Review. Basically, we are taking a little break from operations. So until then, cheers all.

Steam All Stations through the Hills | Puffing Billy Community Day - 125...

Howdy all.
Turns out we would have one more event to follow for the year. Anyways, we are back in the hills again, to celebrate 125 years of the Gembrook Line. The railway, held a Community Open Day, which saw trains stopping all major stations. At each stop, there was time to take a gander around the townships or surrounding area.
Four locomotives were used on there services which ran out of Belgrave at 09:30, 11:10 and 12:30.
We progress throughout the day, capturing the services stopping at the stations that they wouldn't usually stop at.
We begin with the first service, running as a double header, then transpose over to the second, to follow along all the way to Gembrook.
Cheers all.
That should be it for our heritage videos for the year. Still a couple of last videos for the the year, but they are a little smaller...

Riding the First Northbound Service Though the Metro Tunnel | Melbourne'...

Howdy,
Time for another video.
We finally have our view of the Metro Tunnel opening.
It's a little bit of a ride an walkaround video rather than our regular rail videos.
Anyways, I've hit a bit of a slump in video production atm, so videos will be uploaded as able to over the next couple of weeks.
Apologies for the delays, and enjoy.
Cheers.

Steam Shuttles the Werribee Line | Steamrail - Laverton Shuttles 2025 | ...

Welcome to Summer... at least what should be.
Anyways, we start off the month, with finishing up this year's steam season. This is also  the last public tour from Steamrail for the year.
We head out for what should be a rather regular day with steam travelling along the Altona line, however this was quickly changed to the Werribee after an incident.
We end off the year with humble Y112 taking charge of another tour, with the assistance of K183.
This video is a little shorter than originally planned, as the running of the tour coincided with the opening of a new Melbourne train line, so our filming was split a little.
We're still keeping the flexible schedule for the next week or so. Catch everyone sooner or later.

Steam Rambles Beside the Bay | Steamrail - Suburban Rambler 2025 | Y112 ...

Howdy,
Back for another week, and we return with our Victorian content from here on.
Today's video saw the return of the oldest operational steam locomotive in Victoria, Phoenix built Y112. Along with locomotive K153, they spent the day travelling across Melbourne for the first public Suburban Rambler since 2019 (based on our records).
We are back to flexible frequency for the next couple of videos, as we slowly begin winding down for the year.
Cheers all.

Steam & Silver Down the Illawarra | THNSW Steam to the Surf & HETs Top a...

Howdy,
Well, the time has come to have our last over the borders special for the year.
It's been a decent season this year, so hopefully everyone enjoyed.
Today we take a look at some heritage operations down the Illawarra line, which saw S28 and 3526 travel down for two separate tours.
Anyways, a couple more Victorian videos to end off the year, so stay tuned.
