Trains Around Melbourne #20

Howdy all,
So we're back for one last time this month, and just before we take a break. We have a next instalment of our Trains Around Melbourne series, which has been delayed from last month.
Anyways, gonna keep this post short and sharp. We have one video due during the break, but currently the video might possibly be delayed, if this is the case, the community post will be updated.
Anyways, cheers all. Enjoy the first few days of Spring.

Steam Battles Rain & Shine | Steamrail - Hurstbridge Wattle Festival Shu...

G'day, we're back for this week's videos.
To start us off, we return to our heritage coverage, of this year's Steamrail Hurstbridge Wattle Festival. This year it was a little interesting in two ways. For the first time we saw the Taits venture up for the shuttles and the pending weather that we had been watching the whole day to pounce... This year's video is slightly shortened from previous years as we only cover the first 5 shuttles, missing out on the Night Train, that we would have once ridden.
Last night we announced our plans for the first part of September on Facebook, this will be announced on the YouTube Community tab tonight.
Cheers all.

First Day of Trains at the New Parkdale Station - Melbourne Trains

Howdy!
Well, time for this week's second video, and it kind of got thrown in at the last minute as I realised there was a bit of space in the schedule by moving the next upload back by a day.
Anyways, chewing through our backlog of Metro videos, we are at Parkdale Station for it's opening day earlier this month. The station was rebuilt as a 'Skyrail' design as part of the removal of the level crossings at Parker and Warragul Roads.
We take a look at some of the first services though the station beginning out day in the mid-morning, then returning for some late afternoon shots.

An announcement will be made on some changes to the scheduling for the next couple of month soon, so stay turned on the Community Tab.
Cheers all.

Eaglemont Rattles & Shuttles - Steamrail/Elecrail Charter: Eaglemont Her...

Howdy all,
Welcome to this weeks video, a little late because I forgot to press the publish button.
Anyways, after a run of metro and exhibition videos, we head out for the preserved Tait train which travelled out for what's becoming the annual Eaglemont shuttles. As part of the Eaglemont Heritage Day, the Eaglemont Village community charters the Red Rattlers for the day to travel from Eaglemont Station.
This year's video, we attempt to get a few different spots compared to out previous coverage in 2022.
Cheers all, there should be one more video this week, as I've realised I'm minorly stuffed up the scheduling, but we'll have to see. There will also be an announcement next week for some upcoming plans.

Sunshine Model Railway Exhibition 2024 - Sunshine Model Railway Club

Howdy all,
Time for this weeks video, and in contrast to last week, we have our second model railway exhibition that was filmed during the first weekend of August. We take a look at the Sunshine Model Railway Exhibition for the first time this year, for what is a smaller more standard exhibition compared to the large size of AMRA's show. This exhibition has been edited into a single part, and is or longest video to date.
So sit back and relax, as we take a look at one of the smaller Melbourne shows.

For the next two months, there is only a single model railway exhibition video planned per month, so transitioning back to our normal train videos, I hope everyone will still enjoy them.

Melbourne Showgrounds Model Railway Exhibition 2024 - Part 1 | Australia...

Well, howdy.
Back for this weeks video, and we begin our rather large coverage of Victoria's most recent model railway exhibition. On the 3rd and 4th of August, the Australian Model Railway Association ran their 52nd annual model train show, this year at the Showgroud Pavilion in Fleminton. We begin our video by capturing the preserved Taits that were used to shuttle passengers on the second day of the exhibition. In this video we take a look at 11 of the layouts between stalls 1 to 34. This year's video is a comprehensive coverage video, with both parts being around the same length. So sit back, relax and enjoy the video.
Part two is due over the weekend, and will then be followed by another exhibition.
