Eaglemont Red Rattler Shuttles | Steamrail/Elecrail - Eaglemont Village ...

Our latest weekly video is out!
Fresh off the press from yesterday's Eaglemont Tait Shuttles for the Eaglemont Village Heritage Day.
The Red Rattlers operated seven shuttles from Eaglemont station for a 40 minute return trip.
This video like the previous Glen Waverly shuttles is only a chase video and not a combined video, as we didn't ride these trips. The Tait's made as quick of a sprint as they could between the two stations, well as much as they could while following a Metro service both ways.
Hope you all enjoy the video, until next week, all the best.
There is a likely chance next weeks video will be delayed for a few hours, as once again the video is being recorded the night before.

Opening a NSWGR C38 Class (3820) from Australian Railway Models | Part 1

Time for another video.
Now fully back to our regular weekly uploading schedule, and we return with a two parter.
This is a video that was originally planned to be published during the extras schedule, but never-mind the video is finally coming out. The intention is to have at least 3 or 4 unboxing videos a year, so we will see how the fitting of the rest of them will go, as they are subject to what models are being released.
Anyways, today we have the first of two parts of the unboxing of ARM's C38, 3820 in her final and preserved lined black livery.
Unlike the other steam models, this model is more based around a budget sensitive modeller, even beating the price of most diesel models. How does she look? find out below.
Part 2 will be online on Thursday!
Till next time, catch you all down the line.

Double Rs to the Snow | Steamrail - Snow Train 2022 - Train One | R711 &...

Well, we are back for the weekly schedule.
Today's video, probs should have been obvious, but captures the first Snow Train to be operated by Steamrail Victoria for 2022, making their return after being cancelled for the last two years.
We begin our video from Armadale, then following along all the way to Traralgon.
It's great to capture the double Hudson R classes again, as this is their first tour together this year since R711 has been having some repairs during the earlier part of the year.
This video attempts a majority of locations that we haven't attempted before, that will be contrasted from our next video to cover the Snow Train.
Anyways, until next week, stay safe, stay well and have a good week.

Trains Around Melbourne #16

Howdy everyone,
The time has finally came for the release of our final extra video for this holiday season.
Finally breaking away from heritage videos, we have our 16th installment to our Trains Around Melbourne series.
These videos are usually comprised of extra clips recorded throughout the years from train chases.
This will also be the last installment to not include HCMTs, as they have now became so numerous, it's about time they were introduced to the series.

From here on out, we will be resuming our weekly schedule, scheduled for 10:30AM on Mondays until around mid-November. It looks like there shouldn't be as many tours in the short term, so there should be time for some of the initially planned extra videos to be uploaded, as they were postponed because of the large heritage backlog we had to power through this season. Anyways, next video still due on Monday, so until they, stay safe and stay well.

VR Steam & V/Line Diesel Pace to Bendigo | 707 Operations - The Gracelan...

Back again for another weekly video.
A little late today, because well, I couldn't wake up, after all it is the last week of break, so maximizing my sleep time while I can.
In any case, as expected this week's video is from the latest mainline tour. Rather weirdly it's been around 6 months since we have uploaded a video covering a 707 Operations tour, but to be honest, their weekenders haven't been that interesting to cover, and we do actually have one of their tours in the backlog, but there just hasn't been the time to upload. Hopefully we will get a chance soon with the decrease of tours over the next few months.
Anyways, today we follow the Gracelander special, a tour to take passengers to the Granceland exhibition in Bendigo, and for those who are uninterested about Elvis Presley, could take the alternative of Maldon. This tour featured recently repainted A66 in V/Line's heritage Tangerine livery.
Another long video again, which seems to be the trend with most of these heritage videos now.
Anyhow, one last extra's video due at the end of this week. Finally one which isn't a heritage video, although, viewers should know what it is, seeing we attempt to upload one every 6 months.
So till next time, catch you down the line.

The Train of Lights Through the Dandenongs | Puffing Billy - Train of Li...

Time for another extra video aye.
Today we have our first of eventually two videos to cover the Puffing Billy Train of Light specials that have ran during the Victorian winter school holidays. This video covers my first attempt of capturing the service on Thursday the 30th of June, accompanied by fellow railfans SonicbusterX2000 and Pannier. Being the first attempt, we were try a few things out to some success and failures. The train itself is a rather spectacle to see steaming through the Dandenongs through the night being hauled by the newest the be restored, NGG16 129.
The second video coverage will be uploaded at a later date when a slot becomes available, with preference within the next 6 months rather than later.

If you anyone is in the area, they are still running the service until the 10th of July, so if you get a chance, head up for a quick look. Tickets sold out rather quickly, but it's still a sight to see.

Anyways, thanks again, until next time, catch you all down the line.

Suburban Parallel Run | Steamrail - Welcome Back Red Rattlers | Taits an...

G'day Everyone,
We are back for our weekly video.
Today we have a video that was only filmed yesterday, Steamrail Victoria's Welcome Back Red Rattlers tour, featuring a mainline parallel run between the Tait and a steam train.
Unlike most of our heritage videos, this video is half a ride and chase video. The first part of the video captures the ride from from trailing unit of the Tait paralleling from North Melbourne Station and Box Hill. After getting off the train at Lilydale we proceed the video like the rest of our heritage videos.
The component of the parallel section is between Camberwell and Canterbury. A full length of the ride portion has been recorded and will be uploaded at some point in the future when scheduling allows.
Very interesting day overall, and congrats to Steamrail for begin able to pull this whole event off.

Enjoy the main video. Still have our extra due at the end of the week. This is the second last extra, then we resume our weekly schedule.
